Spoilers about possible season three plots in the comments!

-Not winning Nationals doesn't surprise me. I've said since the beginning of the season that if they win Regionals but lose at Nationals they would have something to work towards for the third season, which is also the final season that the original cast is together (I believe).

-This does create the carryover drama for Finn/Rachel because even though she said it was all worth it, I don't think that's all true. But that showed the difference between Finn and Rachel: for him the kiss was worth it, for her not so much.

-Really liked the coming together of Quinn, Santana, and Brittany. Hopefully they can join Cheerios again or at least have more friendship scenes next season.

-Nice moment between Kurt and Rachel. They totally understand each other on a level that no one else does.

-Of course Quinn's plan wasn't much of one at all.

-So Santana and Brittany are hugging at lockers again and Brittany said she loved Santana but she also loves the entire Glee Club. They are in a healthy place right now but they aren't a couple yet. I guess that's something else to look forward to for next season.

-Will's Broadway plot was over before I even realized it existed. Enjoyed his banter with the VA Coach.

-Funny that Kurt was so enthused with the drama that not making Nationals didn't phase him; also love that he could be so positive about his year. Blaine and Kurt exchanged the l word to each other. What year is Kurt in? Is he graduating with the rest or is he supposed to be a year beneath them?

-Sam and Mercedes are dating or something? Whatever, it's canon. But considering certain spoilers I've heard about Mercedes I wonder how that plays out.

Surprise! But I really liked the second original song ND did. VA's was good but last year's was better. 'Yeah' was fun to watch but I wasn't super impressed. Kurt and Rachel's duet was sweet and they obviously had fun doing it. Really enjoyed the group number. The guys singing 'Someone to Watch Over Me' was nice.

PREVIEW: NONE because this is it! So what are your thoughts for this season? Did you enjoy this one or the first more? What would be one thing you would have changed for this season? What was your favorite episode? Least favorite? What do you desperately want to happen in the third season? Anyone going to see the Glee movie?

I didn't expect them to win Nationals either, so it wasn't a surprise. The kiss, however, was, especially with Jesse in the crowd, and I guess Glee is just hitting my infidelity squick so hard. Generally, I don't care, but it's been so overplayed already, and I really, really, really wanted Rachel to be single and (as I say often) figure out how great she is in her own right.

The Sam/Mercedes threw me for a total loop. I was wondering what the hell I missed and when and what and was just flabbergasted, because I didn't see it coming at all. It'll be sweet, though, because Sam's a pretty nice guy. I just hope that it's not another X cheats on X with X (based on some spoilers I discovered for season 3).

Santana and Brittany! I adore Brittany coming into her own and her development as not just the dumb, comedic chick. That was great insight she imparted, and I'm so glad her and Santana are, at least, friends and working toward some kind of resolution.

Oh, no, Jesse was absolutely right. I agree, he's very ridiculous, but he was on a winning team for years, so he actualfax knows what he's talking about. In many ways, he's more adult than Finn (or even Will) is in that regard.

Goodness, I am right there with you. I adore Mercedes, and of course, Glee is not great when it comes to racial issues. I applaud them for being fairly progressive about sexuality (although still need to work on better queer representation, including bisexuals), but that's another story. And Sam is sweet, especially after the prom ep, where I was like: oh! He's not a bad guy.

Spoilers ahoy! I used the highlight to read text to avoid anyone accidentally stumbling on them and give you the choice to read them:
(skip) I heard that Sam and Rachel would be an item in Season 3, which is why I guess the Mercedes/Sam threw me for such a loop. I was expecting a set up for Sam/Rachel.

I agree with you absolutely, though: NO MERCEDES OR SAM CHEATING. In fact, just abolish cheating as a plot device all together, Glee writers.

Hm. See. I thought Mercedes' love interest was supposed to appear this ep, and I'm not sure how I feel about them casting for a love interest outside of the group. I don't know. I have a lot of thoughts that I can't quite untangle about that decision.

*nods, nods, nods* Your thoughts. I just want to go: WORD and AGREE. I want more for Brittany and Santana, but this quiet note of mutual understanding is fantastic. They're friends, and they're solid, and if nothing else, they always have each other.
