Tonight's Glee

Even with an extra 30 minutes the show didn't feel overly long and there wasn't ton of music either. Were there more commercials?

Quick Notes--

Rachel's nose being broken made me think of The Brady Bunch. It was nice to see most of the club come together to support her in the flash dance. The tension between her and Quinn felt more developed towards the beginning of the show but then kind of petered out, maybe with one extra moment between them things would have felt more complete.

Santana's self serving plan that's responsible for Kurt being able to return to McKinley felt true to her character, though it makes more of a joke about the bullying arc, but I don't think Glee has done well in managing the tone in the way they approach bullying (and in this I don't just mean with Kurt but also with regards to bullying within the Glee Club). But I was glad Santana wore the Lebanese shirt Brittany made her. I can buy her identifying as lesbian now even with her past.

I don't approve of what happened with Quinn but I liked that it ended up being a plus for her in the end and that she and Lauren came to an accord. I'm surprised Puck was all okay with doing that to Quinn. The whole Lucy Caboose backstory wasn't needed though, I mean, Quinn was pregnant last year. They could have mentioned that.

Kurt is back in McKinley! Sent off with a sweet song by Blaine and the Warblers and performing a song on his own. Right now (because I try not to get too attached to character growth) he seems to have matured and he was there for Rachel. So yay!

Finn had his sweet moments. He looked suspicious of Karofsky so Prom episode will probably be tense. Still think Finn and Quinn would be better as friends.

I never do like how Will approaches Emma's OCD, he seems way to intense and then the knowledge that he wants to be with her kind of paints his actions more self serving than I'd like. That whole fruit scene was wrong.

Random Notes--

Mercedes looked good this episode.

I find Tina and Mike to be charming most of the time.

Brittany and Santana's moment was sweet. It was interesting to see Brittany be more aggressive for once.



MUSIC:

Favorite was the Quinn-Rachel Duet (Unpretty/I Feel Pretty) overall; enjoyed Somewhere Only We Know, Finn's song was charming (I kind of missed Cory doing his thing actually), Kurt's song was long but he sang it well, the flash mob for Rachel was fun to watch; I actually preferred this Born This Way version over the original.

Preview: episode is called Rumors so perhaps Kurt is helping Sam with his hair. Maybe this is the beginning of a friendship? A return to Finn/Rachel? A Former Cheerleader also means Quinn. Sue is back to scheming, will she be more effective this time?
