Dot-Marie Jones has quickly become a breakout character on this season of Glee, thanks to her heartbreaking and hilarious performance as McKinley High’s newest faculty member, Coach Shannon Beiste. The series’ most recent episode, “Never Been Kissed,” was a showcase for the 46-year-old actress: In the episode, her character revealed that she still had never been kissed at the age of 40. (On the upside, she did get to pucker up with Matthew Morrison mere seconds later.) Jones had previously guest-starred on various series, like Married… with Children and Lizzie McGuire, but now has her biggest role to date on the hit Fox series. And it’s all because of a lucky trip to the grocery store. “It’s true that I ran into [Glee co-creator] Brad Falchuk at Whole Foods,” says the actress, who knew Falchuk from doing guest appearances on Nip/Tuck. “I didn’t corner him like the National Enquirer said and refused to let him go until he said he’d consider me for a part. I said, ‘Oh my god, I love [Glee]!’ I said, ‘Please, you guys, write me something!’ Not two months later, my agent called me and said that [Glee co-creator] Ryan Murphy wanted to know my availability in mid-July because he was writing something for me. I mean, come on. I know how lucky I am. There are 5,000 people who would do this job in a second and 5,000 behind them.”

Max Adler, who plays "Glee" football player and resident bully Dave Karofsky, doesn't know if he'll get to kiss and make up on the show anytime soon.

As Tuesday’s Rocky Horror Glee Show inches ever closer to our televisions, we’ve all by now seen the photos of various Glee cast members doubling as classic Rocky Horror characters like Riff Raff (Kurt), Columbia (Tina), Brad Majors (Finn), and the titular golden-speedo’d hunk Rocky Horror (the perpetually shirtless Sam). Most curiously, it appears Amber Riley’s Mercedes is the one with the honor of stepping into the high-heels and black corset of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Rocky Horror‘s cross-dressing provocateur-cum-ringmaster so memorably played by Tim Curry in the feature film. Aside from looking frighteningly fabulous, the character gets to belt one of the show’s best-known songs: “Sweet Transvestite.”
It turns out, however, that guest star John Stamos, who plays the new squeeze of guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), was originally going to tackle the naughty anthem.

Glee star takes the good with the glare
Back on May 18, 2009, Chris Colfer was a regular kid, a talented, singing-and-dancing, Californian teen who had appeared in some community-theatre productions, acted in a short film and recently completed the pilot for a Fox show called Glee, an oddball sort of show whose appeal, if any, was hard to predict.
The next day, thanks in large part to an assist from the juggernaut American Idol, Glee exploded into the American zeitgeist. Colfer's life hasn't been the same since.

Dianna Agron on supporting Jane Lynch

Dianna says she’ll be sitting front row at Saturday Night Live come October – even if her bosses say no!
Dianna Agron truly has the whole package: she’s talented, gorgeous AND a fabulous friend. How do we know? Come hell or high water, the Glee actress says she’ll be there for co-star Jane Lynch’s Saturday Night Live hosting gig this October, no matter what the consequences may be!
“I know I’m going,” the 24-year-old actress, who plays cheerleader Quinn Fabray to Jane’s Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester on Glee – said at Crest 3D White’s Breakthrough of the Year Awards Aug. 15. “Even if I fly out Friday night and fly back Sunday morning, I have to be there.”
What a good friend! We guess this means you’re taking a red eye on Oct. 8, Dianna -– because although Glee creator Ryan Murphy is giving Jane, 50, the week off at the time, we’re not so certain he’ll be as lax with you!
