On a completely different note, I've been trying to think of stuff we can do to keep this comm active during the mini-break in the season besides actual news and stuff like that. I'm totally open to suggestions! The first one I have in mind is a holiday mix-exchange, since we're all huge fans of a show centred on music and we all seem to have really interesting and eclectic tastes after that friending meme. Is anyone interested? I can put up an official post sometime this weekend if people are!

I really like the idea of a mix exchange! It would be even kind of cool to continue it on maybe until the show comes back, perhaps even people could make mixes for their favorite characters or pairings.

I was thinking of trying to highlight the rest of the fandom with like a weekly post where people could link to stuff they really liked and I'd post some stuff I liked. I would have to start reading fic again, but that's not a hardship :) Oh and vids too.

I definitely agree we need to do something while the show is away.

A fandom-type highlights post would be really interesting too! Maybe us 3 mods could each take charge of something small & fun to do to carry on through the break. I was also thinking that we could carry on the music thing after the holiday season with fanmixes, so that could be fun. I'll have a think about how to properly organize it and then post later :)

Mixes are always fun; and I agree we could carry them on.

Do you plan to start it after the show goes on hiatus, so after next week? Do you have a scheduling idea in mind? I think have the recurring posting kind of spaced out would be nice, just to keep things looking balanced. Like if the three of us have a certain thing we're doing, we could each post regularly so people could know what to expect on certain days and maybe fall into a pattern of coming to the comm.

I have to think about how I would do the fandom posts, too. I definitely plan to follow Yuletide and see what fic comes out of that for Glee.

I was thinking that for the specific holiday one we'd do the meme part of it (what kind of music you'd like to have on it, what kind of music you wouldn't like to have on it, etc.) this weekend to give people enough time to get it done before the holiday season is really upon us.

As for the other part of the mix idea, carrying it on, that part would occur after the show goes on hiatus. I definitely think a schedule would be really helpful and I'd be up for that.

I'm up for all kinds of things? I love seeing/hearing other people's mixes, although I'm not always good with coming up with one on a theme. I tend more towards what am I listening to RIGHT NOW being the thing I think about most. But I'd be happy to participate and do my best!

On a similar vein to the article you linked on Sue quotes, I thought during the downtime we could do weekly (fornightly, whatever) posts calling for people's favourite quotes from a particular character. Maybe three quotes for each character: the funniest; the deepest; the worst.
