Glee’s Lea Michele has teamed up with PETA for a new anti-fur PSA called “If You Wouldn’t Wear Your Dog, Please Don’t Wear Any Fur.” Watch it, and PETA’s video Q&A with the actress — who first raised her voice with the animal rights organization during her Broadway days to end the abuse of horses used in New York’s carriage industry — after the jump.
In the PSA, shot in a faux school hallway, Michele says, “Everyone wants to fit in and feel like they belong. But sometimes you have to take a stand and step away from the crowd….With so many fashionable, cruelty-free options available, there’s really no excuse for joining a club that wears someone else’s coat.” (Is it wrong that we sort of wanted to see her throw a slushie on someone wearing fur?) Her video Q&A features stronger wording to go along with its harsher images: “When I see someone wearing a fur coat, the first thing that comes to my mind is why? Why do you need to have a fur coat? Why? You could be just as warm in any other kind of coat that hasn’t, you know, been made by killing animals. Why?” Then she adds, with a giggle, “And it’s ugly. You really look ugly. I don’t think you get it.”
She also talks about rescuing animals she found filming Glee on location and on the Paramount lot (one dog, named Charlie, now lives with a fellow cast member, and two cats, Sheila and Claude, came home with her) and about how the book Skinny Bitch enlightened her views on the meat and dairy industries. The vegetarian Michele also encourages people to find the issues they’re passionate about and get involved. All she did was go on the PETA website and post a comment asking how she could help.

Glee’s Cory Monteith and Melrose Place’s Katie Cassidy are set to join the cast of Monte Carlo, which already has both Wizards of Waverly Place’s Selena Gomez and Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester on board, according to the Hollywood Reporter. (On a non-teen-happy side note, Andie MacDowell also stars.) Is there any other more teeny teensplosion out there right now?
Monte Carlo is an adaptation of Headhunters by Jules Bass and centers on a young gal (Gomez) who’s mistaken for a socialite. It’s being called a “teen adventure movie,” mostly because a million-dollar necklace goes missing. The girls must put their heads together to find it! Cassidy joins Meester as a friend to Gomez’s character. Monteith, meanwhile, plays Gomez’s football-playing boyfriend. MacDowell, who as you might realize is not a teen dream, is the mother in the situation.

"If anyone wants to join Team Terri, we're happy to have them!" That was the official invitation from Jessalyn Gilsig who plays the admittedly hard-to-love Terri Schuester on "Glee." Terri certainly struck a sour note with most Gleeks during the first half of the season as she duped her husband, glee club teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) into thinking she was pregnant. Will, in turn, had a rather epic fight with his wife, left her and shared a romantic smooch with guidance counselor Emma (Jayma Mays).
But, this isn't the end of Terri, Jessalyn promises, and Emma had better watch out. "Terri has unfinished business with Emma, she always will," Jessalyn says. She even has her now estranged hubby in her sights, too. "(What happened between the two) wasn't enough to knock Terri off her game. There's a history with Will. That relationship's not over, there will always be an attraction there. She'll find a way to stay under his skin."
Jessalyn confirms that she'll be appearing mostly in the latter part of season one's remaining nine episode.
So, Jessalyn, why join Team Terri? Besides getting to raid (OK, visit) her craft closet, you'll get some insight to how Terri and Will (whom she sees as "Rachel and Finn, in reverse") used to be. The actress assures that fans will see the "sweet, excited, creative, romantic" side of Terri before she turned into an "amoral creature."
While she won't divulge in Will and Terri's fate as a couple, Jessalyn says she'd like to see her character "get a little independence and find who she is away from this relationship mess."

Dianna Agron’s character on Glee is going to have to deal with motherhood soon.
“Well, we’ll see,” said Agron, who plays pregnant high schooler Quinn Fabray.
With that little bit of foreshadowing, Glee embarks upon its final run of first-season episodes, starting Tuesday, April 13 on Fox and Global.
This really is the most spread-out first season in the history of TV, isn’t it?
The first episode of Glee aired as a “sneak preview” in May 2009, almost a full year ago. Glee then aired another dozen episodes last fall, but fans haven’t seen a new episode in four months.
Sheesh, this first season of Glee is taking longer than it takes to have a baby. Speaking of which ...
No matter what happens with Quinn’s baby, Agron surely will be relieved not to have to wear a prosthetic every day on set.
“It’s not annoying, but you gravitate toward holding it all day long, as an actual pregnant woman would do,” said the 23-year-old American, who was born in Georgia and grew up in California. “So sometimes psychologically I’ve had to remind myself, ‘Wait, this isn’t real.’ ”
What is real is the critical and commercial success Glee has attained.
Agron said she still has “pinch-me moments” when the cast is gathered at an awards show or a fan event. But the positive reception is even more meaningful when Agron recalls the unlucky turn her career seemingly had taken before she landed the role of Quinn.
“Almost an entire year went by without me working, before this job,” recalled Agron, who previously had appeared on series such as Veronica Mars, Heroes and CSI: New York.
“The writers’ strike had happened, and every job I had - from small co-stars, to guest-stars, to recurring, where you think, ‘I’m really pursuing my dream and I’m so happy’ - well, the writers’ strike happened and the town just kind of shut down. There were moments where I said, ‘What am I doing here?’ ”
Being called in quite late during the casting process for Glee was intimidating for Agron, too.
“When I was auditioning for this show, I knew it was down to the wire, I knew they hadn’t found the (Quinn) character yet, and I knew most of the people they had cast were from musical theatre - Lea (Michele, who plays Rachel) and Matt (Morrison, who plays Mr. Schuester) and Jenna (Ushkowitz, who plays Tina),” Agron said.
“It was daunting because you think, ‘Well, I sing, and I love to sing, but (musical theatre) is not my style of singing.’ I’m more jazzy-bluesy. My voice, my natural register, is very, very low.
“But I got the easy end of the stick because I was cast within a week, period. The other guys went through a much longer, more rigorous audition process, where they had to wait and come back. I went in for my first audition, was cast and started work two days later.”
Whatever kind of motherhood is in store, or not in store, for Quinn, it appears Dianna Agron has hit the mother lode.
